1. Your skin may never be perfect, and that’s okay.

2. Life is too short not to have the underwear, the coffee, and the haircut you want.

3. Everyone (including your family, your coworkers, and your best friend) will talk about you behind your back, and you’ll talk about them too. It doesn’t mean you don’t love each other.

4. It’s okay to spend money on things that make you happy.

5. Sometimes without fault or reason, relationships deteriorate. It will happen when you’re six, it will happen when you’re sixty. That’s life.

abcoy:

Just bringing back the first time I was ever proud of myself. The year before this I got 19th and was going through some very tough mental times because of the stress and frustration with never doing as well as I wanted. That year I decided to take matters into my own hands and focus on putting myself into my dancing and making it worth it.

Also in that year, not only did I go from 19th to 2nd at nationals, I went from 117th (almost the last place) at worlds to 7th. Honestly, I have no idea how I did it, but it just goes to show that every champion was once at the bottom, they just weren’t born a champ.

In that year I think I grew to be the dancer I am today; the one who understands not only the hard work and determination it takes, but also the frustration of not going where you want. I learned that not only do you just have to dance, but you have to dance with your heart, and I think that made all the difference.

Sorry about the long obnoxious post but I think it might just show some of you that you CAN do it, and you shouldn’t give up right when you’re so close to getting there
