This is difficult.. I first started Irish Dance when i was around 5 or 6, and only started because my two older sisters wanted to because some of their friends did it. I only did it for about a year, not even getting into hardshoe and only did one competition. I stopped because i didnt have any friends and was extremely shy at that age.
So i started taking ballet..i didnt care for it to much but i loved dancing.. Anyways, i quit about 5 months in because i didnt want to be in the recital (stage fright) and the studio i was at made you do them. Shortly after i quite ballet my sisters stopped Irish dancing because we didnt have the money.
So i didnt do any dance for a long time, in middle school i took some martial arts for about a year, and in 7-8th grade i was doing horseback riding.
Irish dance was kind of forgotten until i was looking at old pictures and stumbled across one of my first and only feis. I felt like trying it again, so i took a class and started to really enjoy it. I had to stop horseback riding because it was too expensive to do both. Anyway, thats basically why got me started :) i could keep going but thats a huge story hahaha
last year i was eating in a fancy, large restaurant when i began to hear a rumble and the distant sound of people chanting ‘potassium, potassium’ and suddenly hundreds of people dressed as bananas flood this restaurant chanting potassium over and over and we were trapped there for a very long time because the bananas would not leave and they were everywhere
